Low Code Fest 2024
In the beautiful location of “The Oratory of the Crucifix” a workshop was held organized by Europeana, a partner of the 2024 edition of CREA CULTURA.
In this workshop, participants who wanted to take part in the 2024 edition of the “Low Code Fest” had the opportunity to learn what APIs are and how they are used on the Internet, learning how to leverage this data for their own creative projects.
Low Code Fest aims to have teams of students and teachers produce a creative project that uses digital cultural heritage to promote and celebrate the Artemis Mission, NASA’s exploration program that will land humans back on the Moon.
The Workshop, curated by Jolan Wuyts – Collections Developer, at Europeana – was a success and involved Italian and foreign teachers, students, and scholars discovering Europeana’s cultural heritage. The presentation focused on explaining the APIs – available in Europeana – as valuable tools that enable the creation of applications using the wealth of collections in it and from thousands of cultural institutions across Europe.
Europeana is a European Union initiative that supports the cultural heritage sector in its digital transformation. It develops skills, tools and strategies to embrace changes in the digital world and encourage collaborations that foster innovation.
